Ticket Tips

We suggest patrons arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes before the performance start time, as all performances are General Seating/First come, first serve.

No Latecomers – because of the set-up of our venues, patrons will not be admitted after the performance starts (no, not even one minute after). With so many performances taking place, it is imperative that we stay on schedule. Therefore, performances start precisely at their designated show times, and no one is admitted once the show has started.

No Refunds – because we return 100% of ticket revenue to the artists, we cannot offer refunds on their behalf.

Sherri is a US comic who is currently based in Canada and tours internationally. Among other things, Sherri spent six years in a fundamental religious cult.

Her life story is fascinating and her humor reflects her truth; people from the US to Malaysia find her hysterically funny and poignant. In addition to being outrageously talented, she has likability and charm that makes her comedy universal.

Sherri’s one woman show, DON’T MAKE FUN OF JESUS has played to sold-out crowds in New York, Atlanta, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Penang, Swansea, as well as numerous private events and universities. Her fans call her, ‘the white Wanda Sykes’ and she has been referred to as ‘the voice of the Gay community as Richard Pryor was the voice to the Black Community.’ While she certainly is a powerful voice in the LGBT community, her comedy transcends sexuality and gender. Sherri talks about issues that most comics can’t touch, and the only time she has ever offended another group of people is when she left them out of her set! If Lisa Lampanelli and Ellen DeGeneres had a kid, it would be Sherri.

She has opened for Roseanne Barr and Kevin Hart, played all the main clubs in New York (Caroline’s, Comix, The Improv, New York Comedy Club, Boston Comedy Club to name a few) and recently in LA at the Comedy Store. She has become a favorite on the Canadian Fringe circuit. Winnipeg loved her so much they kept her around as part of their ‘best of fest,’ but Sherri thinks Calgary can top them!
